As you worship with us we hope that you feel welcome and comfortable. We are all travelers and seekers together. We very much hope you will find your time with us, one of renewal and refreshment. As you journey with us may your faith deepen with the hope that you will continue on this journey with us.
We ask that you add your voice and heart to the service: sing the hymns and pray the prayers. Everyone’s voice is needed to tell the Good News of God’s love in Christ. Please help others find a place near you, and greet the person next to you as we prepare to worship together.
Our 8:00 service is a spoken service and the 10:00 service includes the signing of hymns and service Music. Depending on the Sunday you will hear the Adult Vocal Choir, St. Paul’s Ringers or Chimes 4 Jesus. Those who belong to any Christian Church will find many of the responses and hymns familiar. We use Rite II which begins in the Book of Common Prayer on page 355 and continues to page 366. The Psalm can be found in the Book of Common Prayer. Alternative forms of the Great Thanksgiving can be found on pages 367-376 and the response to the Prayers of the People are noted in the bulletin. Page numbers and hymns are provided in the service leaflet; they are also announced throughout the service.
The following books are used during our service: The Book of Common Prayer (BCP), The Hymnal 1982, Lift Every Voice and Sing hymnal and the Wonder, Love and Praise hymnal.
At St. Paul’s all who seek the real presence of Christ in their lives are welcome to receive communion with us. Taking both the bread and wine or either bread or wine is considered full communion.
